4. File Expiration and Deletion
Files uploaded to LinearFiles are designed for temporary sharing and have a four-day expiration period.
After the expiration period, a file is intended to become unavailable through the service.
Expiration and permanent deletion are not necessarily the same event. Copies may remain temporarily in backups, technical logs, or systems managed by infrastructure providers, depending on the applicable deletion processes.
You should retain your own copy of any important file. LinearFiles does not guarantee that expired files can be recovered.
5. File Ownership and Intellectual Property
You retain the ownership and intellectual property rights you hold in the files you upload.
Uploading a file does not transfer its ownership to LinearFiles.
To operate the service, you grant LinearFiles a limited, non-exclusive permission to process, temporarily store, transmit, and make your content available as necessary to provide the file-sharing functionality you request.
This permission does not give LinearFiles ownership of your content.
